Hello Dancers!
We had a great combined beginner/intermediate class last night in Balboa/Bal-Swing, one of my favorite subjects! Highlights included a review of basic technique, a review/introduction of the come-around, and then a shiny new move. The new move, for those of you who are trying to remember details, starts with a come-around that opens into a two-handed open connection, winds around into something like a sweetheart, then spins the follow back out into open. We finished it off with a very common Bal catch that feels similar to a come-around where both partners "swirl" together.
The 2nd class split up into Blues with Megan and Sonya (feel free to comment with recaps, either of you ladies!) and team practice. We worked on aerials in the team practice, so I was one very happy follow!
Stay tuned for details about our upcoming fundraiser and workshop!
