Lesson Recap 11/29/2010

Monday's 7:30 lesson was a combined beginner/intermediate tour of moves that start and end in closed position. We started out with Jig Walks, then did some little pop outs that can travel in either direction or become rotational. We did some little hops in closed, which of course made my night, as it involved jumping around. We did a Balboa break that works well from closed position in any swing dance.

We also did a 6-ct inside turn from closed that "landed" us face-to-face, but offset, from our partners. In this sort of ballroom-like position, we can walk around or do the bird or any other manner of silly things. We used a HIP LEAD (capitalized because it is one of my favorite things ever) to get ourselves back into normal closed position.

Hope that jogs your memory, if you were trying to remember what we covered. See you next time!
